Glenn is Assistant Deputy Minister, Investment, Partnerships and Innovation, at Infrastructure Canada which includes the Canada Infrastructure Bank Secretariat, as well as responsibilities for PPPs, Waterfront Toronto and Smart Cities initiatives. Previously he was Director General, Financial Institutions, at Finance Canada responsible for domestic financial sector policy covering banking and insurance, including financial services trade and investment, competition, ownership and consumer policy, as well as ministerial approvals of transactions and restructurings.  His prior role at Finance Canada was Director General, International Economic Policy and Analysis, covering international financial institutions as well as global policy coordination under G20, G7, and IMF.   During this time he was also Senior Finance Official for APEC focusing on Canada’s economic relationship in Asia, including promoting long term investment in infrastructure and private sector partnerships.  Earlier in his career, Glenn was posted as Finance Counselor in New York during the global financial crisis covering Canada’s interests on Wall Street.  While most of his career was at Finance Canada he has varied experience across federal departments, including Global Affairs, Industry Canada, and the Treasury Board Secretariat.  Glenn holds a BA from St. Francis Xavier and an MA from Western University.
