Chief Executive Officer
Kevin is an experienced executive with a career built largely in the public transportation industry. He joined Translink in early 2016.
TransLink is Metro Vancouver's regional transportation authority that manages an integrated transportation network of bus, SkyTrain, West Coast Express, SeaBus, cycling routes as well as major roads and bridges. TransLink provides transit services across 23 communities in Metro Vancouver, and its 1,800 square kilometer service area is the largest transit service area in Canada. Its fleet of 2,100 vehicles provides transit service on more than 215 bus routes and 68 kilometers of rapid transit.
Prior to joining Translink, Kevin spent nearly 12 years as General Manager of King County Metro Transit, serving the Seattle Metropolitan region. At Metro, Kevin launched light rail and streetcar service, six bus rapid transit lines, the ORCA smart card fare collection program, and helped grow transit ridership by 44 percent. Kevin also served as Vice President of Development and Operations at Pierce Transit in Tacoma, Washington.
Kevin began his public transit career at New York City Transit as Chief of Operations Planning. He also served as Assistant Commissioner of the New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission and Deputy Director in Mayor Ed Koch’s Transportation Office.
Kevin has a master’s degree in Public Administration from New York University.Back to speakers
